White Gold Wedding Ring FAQs
Some jewellers choose to rhodium plate white gold onto yellow gold - this means that the rhodium plating can scratch off over time.
Jeremy prefers to keep his white gold natural with a slight yellowy brown tinge. If somebody prefers a white lustre he always recommends a platinum wedding ring instead.
White gold is naturally yellow because it is an alloy of different metals, with the main component being yellow gold which provides the yellow colour.
Jeremy recommends cleaning all gold rings with warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush. use the brush to gently scrub away any dirt and oil.
It is recommended to send your ring in for a professional clean once a year. This also gives Jeremy a change to check the settings of any gemstone rings to make sure they are not coming loose.
We also recommend having your wedding ring properly insured with up to date valuations and images of you wearing the jewellery.
